Itinerary – Sandakphu Jeep Safari

Day 01 – Manebhanjan to Tumbling/Tonglu (1 hr/ 11 km)

Welcome to Sandakphu Jeep Safari. On arrival at Manebhajan meet & greet by Navigator India’s representative. Transfer from Manebhanjan to Tumbling/Tonglu. En-route visit mountain villages like Chitrey, Lamydhura & Megma.   Tumbling is a small hamlet at an altitude of approx 2970 mt. (10000 ft). It offers magnificent panoramic view of Himalaya. On a clear day you view Mt.Kanchendzonga & adjoining peaks.

Day 02 – Tumbling/ Tonglu to Sandakphu (22km/ 3.30 hrs)

Transfer from Tumbling/Tonglu to Sandakphu . The 22 km drive will take approx3.30 hrs. Sandakphu at a altitude of 12,000ft (3636 mt.) is the highest peak of West Bengal.  You can have 360^o view of surrounding mountains. It offers a long stretch of panoramic view of starting from Mt.Kanchendzonga to Mt. Everest (Nepal). The stretch includes peaks like Makalu, Simvo, Pandim, Lhotse, Kumbhakarna, Kabru, Chomolhori etc.

Day 03 – Sandakphu to Manebhanjan (33 km/ 4 hrs)

Today you will drive back to Manebhanjan.  After breakfast start your journey to Manebhanjan at 8 am. You will reach Manebhanjan at approx 12 noon. Tour ends with happy memory to cherish.

Manebhanjan

Manebhanjan is truly a starting point for your serene trip and a small town located around Darjeeling. There are several camps and houses established for trekkers apart from large numbers of Land Rovers. You can definitely find a lot of vintage vehicles here. It is definitely a pleasing attraction to start your journey as you can witness the villages of both Nepal and India on both sides of the border.

Tumling

Tumling is beautifully categorized for its stunning environs and lush greens in winters. It is another great spot to start trekking to Sandakphu. Here, you can experience how cultural climate changes. The Singalila National Park check post is located only a few kilometers away. The trek here is marked with vivid lights, flora and heavy specks of browns and greens. You can witness the night lights of Darjeeling and Kurseong from the top and even explore the Indo-Nepal border from the heights. Bikeybhanjan
